A day for ducks

This is a day made for ducks! The tank (pond) is up about 8″ soon to be running over its banks. Rain expected to last until tomorrow morning. I love the rain, vitamins to the earth. I should say I love the rain when I am tucked in at home and don’t have to drive. Two school buses overturned in Austin this morning, no one hurt, thank God.

I will soon be cuddled into a blanket on my porch watching and listening to the rain hit the roof. The birds are huddled under the porch roof sitting out the rain. I wish I could join them without scaring them away. The female ducks are sitting on eggs and the males must be keeping them company this morning. I would think they would be swimming and enjoying the rain, I would if I were a duck.
