The rain has stopped…

Standard

So much rain I was busy building an ark, kidding of course. But did we ever get rain……….It has been cold the last two days and today mid 60’s again. I see that the rain helped some of my new bulbs many birds2shoot up, I’m surprised that the armadillo missed them.  There is a God! Actually I know there is a God and he is awesome.  I would not be here today if not for him and the power of prayer.

I felt bad for the birds so I kept the feeders full they ate $25.00 worth of food in two days and many hid from the wind and rain on my porches and in the carport. I’m not too fond of cowbirds but they need to eat too. There were two pair of blue birds in the flower bed this morning. My window was to spotty from the rain I couldn’t get pictures. I really hope they will take up residence in the new bird houses I put up this winter.

I am so anxious for spring, I can’t stay away from the gardening sites and catalogs. Keeping the mail man/woman busy delivering. I can’t believe I spent so many years in Michigan winters, about six months of winter in my opinion. I do miss the summer and fall. Well I’m off to read gardening catalogs on the porch and watch the water recede. Have a glorious Saturday……

Bluebird blessings

Standard

Blessings today! I have been feeding birds, putting up houses and bird baths, today I am rewarded by two pair of blue birds. I missed my birds from my other house, everyday at least 6 pair of cardinals, multitudes of dove, blue birds, buntings, and humming birds. This is a wonderful beginning. Because this is a ranch there are hundreds of cowbird and sparrows to eat all of the food, which is fine, just wish there were others. I hung bags of finch food out and not a bird near it.

Well you have to start somewhere. I am very thankful God, great job!
